Some suspected thugs of the All Progressives Congress, APC attacked Some ad-hoc staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and a National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, member, and also carted away election materials.

These election materials carted away by the thugs on Saturday during the governorship election in the state include the BVAS for Ward 1, Unit 23, located at Onopa in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

The bag and other belongings of the Corps member were also taken by armed thugs.

Agent of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Confirmed the incident.

According to the agent, the collation and sorting of votes were ongoing when the armed thugs invaded the unit, adding that no one was injured in the incident.

Also, at Ward11 of Opume and Emakalakala in Ogbia Local Government area of the state, suspected APC thugs descended on polling units 14,15 and 19, disrupting the election process.

But some results had been recorded before the process was disrupted.

In the same vein, at Ward 3 in Olodiama community of the Southern Ijaw Local Government area of the state, armed thugs carted away the original result sheets of polling units 14,15,16,17,18 and 19.
