The National Bureau of Statistics said that Lagos, Rivers and the Federal Capital Territory had the highest Internally Generated Revenue in 2022.
NBS disclosed this in its Internally Generated Revenue State Level report on Monday.
The report claims Lagos (N651 billion), Rivers (N172 billion) and FCT (N124 billion) generated the highest IGR in the period under review.
Kebbi, Taraba and Yobe, however were announced as states with the lowest IGR of N9,146 billion, N10,238 billion and N10,456 billion, respectively.
A total of N1.93 trillion IGR was generated by the 36 states and the FCT from the revenue in the sub-category PAYE, Direct Assessment, Road Taxes, Stamp duties, Capital gain tax, Withholding taxes, other taxes and Local Government Areas revenue.
