Obekpa congratulates newly inaugurated Benue commissioners, aides to Gov Alia

Benue All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Arc Anthony Obekpa has congratulated Benue State commissioners and aides sworn-in by Governor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia in Makurdi, the state capital on Tuesday.

Obekpa, in a press statement, reminded the State Executives the huge tasks ahead of them to ensure Gov. Alia-led administration succeed.

The Owukpa party leader charged the Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Ugwu Odoh, who hails from his own community to make Owukpa proud in discharging his duty.

The statement reads in part, “I congratulate all the commissioners, Special Advisers and Special Assistants that were sworn-in today.

“They should know they have a huge task ahead of them.

“They should have the interest of Benue people at heart because they have suffered too much in the past in the hands of the immediate past government.

“They should assist the Allia/Odeh government in the task of securing the state to create enabling environment for our people that were disturbed by Herdsmen and community crises to go back to farm because Agriculture is the main stay of Benue state.

“As leader of Owukpa APC, I charge Hon. Ugwu Odoh to there and make Owukpa proud.”
