A trending video has showed bandits boasting that they overpowered the Nigerian army and brought down the helicopter that crashed on Monday in Badna, Chukuba ward of Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.
In the video, the bandits were seen parading around the wreckage of the crashed helicopter, with dead bodies all over the place.
AFRIPOST could not exactly confirm if the dead bodies were those of the bandits, other victims or soldiers of the Nigerian army. But the bandits claimed the bodies were those of the Nigerian army.
Contrary to the claim by the army that weather condition resulted in the crash, the terrorists in a two-minute-and-seventeen-seconds video, claimed they brought down the helicopter with only AK-47 rifle.
Speaking in Hausa, they claimed they belonged to Dogo Gide group, one of the notorious bandits terrorising parts of Niger State.
