Danbatta, Frank Nweke Jr, others commend Omoniyi Ibietan on ‘Cyber Politics’ book

The Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof Umar Danbatta; former minister of Information and National Orientation Frank Nweke Jr; Editor-in-Chief of Leadership Newspapers, Azubuike Ishiekwene and others have hailed the “Cyber Politics” book author, Dr Omoniyi Ibietan for putting the literary work together.

Dr. Omoniyi Ibietan, author of the book, Cyber Politics, published by Premium Times Group, is Head, Media Relations at the NCC.

Speaking separately at the unveiling of the book centred on Social Media, Social Demography and Voting Behaviour in Nigeria, the speakers congratulated and commended Ibietan for a job well done.

Danbatta, the author’s immediate boss said, “Omoniyi and I have one thing in common. What is common between us is literally work.

“The most intelligent people are those who sit down to write books.

“Even though Ibietan is an activist, we have never had any disagreement since 2015 when I took over the leadership of NCC.

“I consider myself very lucky, because I never had any issue with him.”

The book was unveiled by the EVC, NCC, Prof. Danbatta under the distinguished chairmanship of the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA , for Enugu State, Frank Nweke Jr.

The event witnessed a panel session made up of panelists across all sectors, including the author, Ibietan, Mr. Mojeed Dahiru and Prof. Abiodun Adeniyi, while Dr. Chido Onumah served as the moderator.

The book launch was attended by handful of dignitaries from all walks of life including representatives of Rt. Honourable Tajudeen Abbas, Speaker, House of Representatives, Federal Republic of Nigeria and forme Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral AZ Gambo, as well as former director, Public Relations of NCC, Tony Ojobo among others.
