A former Senior Special Assistant to the Deputy Governor of Abia State, Henry Nkem has led over 1,000 members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), All Progressives Congress (APC) and All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) into the Action Alliance (AA) in the state.

Speaking at a campaign tour to Ikwuano, Umuahia North and Umuahia south local government areas of the state by the AA Gubernatorial candidate in Abia State, Onyekwere Akym Uche (OUA), the spokesperson of the defectors, Henry Nkem identified the show of lack of capacity by successive past and present administrations to address numerous challenges facing Abia State and added that it was on this basis they arrived at the decision to dump respective political parties for the AA.

They promised to work assiduously towards actualising victory for the party in the upcoming general elections in the state.

The new AA members admonished the people of the state to jettison PDP and vote for the party that will connect them to the center for better dividends of democracy.

While welcoming the APC, APGA and PDP defectors into the Action Alliance, the Abia State chairman of the party, Chief Tony Ojiih assured the new members of inclusion in decision and running of affairs of the party in the state.

The chairman called on them to work hard in their respective electoral wards and polling units to ensure AA wins the Abia governorship seat, and majority of other political offices in the state come February 25th and March 11th, 2023.
