Must read

Buga crooner and Nigerian singer, Kizz Daniel has been released by the Tanzania police after his arrest on Monday.

The singer was arrested for failing to turn up for a performance at a scheduled concert on Sunday.

Kiss Daniel was held at the Oyster Bay Police Station, Civil Police in Dar es Salaam after he failed to perform despite being paid ahead of the show.

As part of his Afro Classic World Tour, Kizz Daniel was slated to perform at the Warehouse, Old Nextdoor Arena in Tanzania on Sunday night.

But the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), while confirming the artiste’s release on its Twitter handle on Monday, said: “His (Kiss Daniel) legal team will however report back to the police tomorrow while he will subsequently return to Nigeria.”

According to the organizers, Daniel could not perform because the airline didn’t bring his bag. He claimed he wanted to perform with a good chain in the bag.

The show organizer who identified himself as a Nigerian said he knelt down pleading with the artiste to perform yo no avail.

According to him, the singer was paid 6000 dollars for the show and the entire country was waiting for him to perform.

He said all the drinks and other event property were destroyed by the angry audience who were disappointed after Daniel failed to show up.

In trying to convince Kizz Daniel for over 5 hours, the organizer brought different designers for him, but Daniel wanted his brand.

Meanwhile, reactions have continued to trail the arrest of the Nigerian singer. While some believe that it’s normal for an artiste to miss a show, others have castigated Daniel for being naturally arrogant, saying it was needless for other celebrities to begin to appeal on his behalf.
