Must read

Renowned businessman and international Engineer, Chief Bond Ohuche, has announced his intention to run for the office of Governor of Abia State in the upcoming general election in 2023.

Ohuche, who hailed from Arochukwu local government area of Abia State, would contest the governorship of the state come 2023 on the platform of the African Action Congress (AAC).

He made his intention known during a  declaration event held at his Campaign Office on Wednesday, in Umuahia, the Abia state capital.

Ohuche hinged his decision on the developmental backwardness necessitated by maladministration by those entrusted with the mandate of the people.

The AAC governorship hopeful expressed total regret on the worsening situations of affairs ranging from non payment of backlogs of salaries arrears and pensions owed to workers in the state civil service and retirees.

His words, “there are no durable roads network, no security, no quality and affordable health delivery system and no stable electric power system. I am in the governorship contest to change the narratives of governance in Abia State, and provide the needed dividends of democracy to the doorsteps of Abia people, and also, in order to foster and enhance socio-economic and Infrastructural growths and developments in every stratas of the state”.

AFRIPOST reports that the declaration ceremony was attended by Abia State Executive officers of African Action Congress, and thousands of supporters of the governorship aspirant, Chief Bond Ohuche, across the seventeen local government areas of the state.
