Foundation commences sensitization, mobilisation of Benue South for voters registration

A non-governmental organisation, Oyalewa Foundation is set to partner with Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), stakeholders, politicians across parties and traditional rulers to commence aggressive sensitization/awareness campaigns and mobilisation of the Enone people of Benue South for massive voters registration in the Federal Constituency.

The arrangement was disclosed in a statement by the Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, Chairman of Ogbadibo Local Government, Hon. Prince Onuh Samuel Odoh on Thursday.

Onuh said, “As part of my contribution towards more participation of my people in future elections, I Hon, Prince  Onuh Samuel Odoh, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Oyalewa Foundation will be partnering with INEC, Enone stakeholders, politicians (PDP, APC and others) Traditional Rulers, Youths, women associations, Artisans, businessmen and women to commence aggressive sensitization/ awareness campaign and mobilisation of Enone people of Benue South for massive voters registration in the Federal Constituency, as we plan to move INEC officials Ward by Ward for easy and convenient registration.

“The exercise which by the grace of God, will begin on Wednesday, 26th January 2022 simultaneously in Ado, Ogbadibo and Okpokwu LGAs and end after 50 days, is expected to register at least 1000 persons per Council ward in each of the 35 council wards of the three local government areas. At least, 35,000 eligible voters are expected to be captured at the end of the exercise which will last for 50days by God’s Grace.

“The important exercise is another opportunity for those that have reached the age of 18, yet to be registered or those in need of some corrections or relocation of their voting units to do so within the specified period in order to get their Permanent Voters Cards (PVC) for them to be eligible to participate in any future election.

“Your PVC is your weapon,

“Your vote is your power,
“Let your vote count,
“Don’t be SMS voter,
“Be a true Nigerian.”
