BREAKING – Gunmen attack, kidnap 20 villagers in Niger

Few hours after an evening of terror in Kagara, the headquarters of Rafi local government area of Niger state, armed bandits have invaded a community in Shiroro local government area abducting 20 persons.

It was gathered that the armed bandits had invaded Adagbi village in Galkogo district in Shiroro at about 8 am Thursday morning.

No death casualties have been confirmed however, sources told The Nation that 20 persons have been abducted in the village.

According to a Source, the bandits stormed the village in their usual style which is on motorcycles, shooting in the air.

The villagers had to take to their heels in order to avoid being abducted; The Nation also learned that those abducted were mostly women.

On the Kagara attack, five people were said to have died which include two security operatives.

The gunmen were also said to have robbed a commercial bank and carted away an undisclosed sum of money.

The number of abducted people in the Kagara attack is currently undisclosed as sources said that the people in the town are still trying to get themselves together.
