The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 601 new cironavirus cases in 23 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Lagos the COVID-19 epicentre in Nigeria recorded 404 cases followed by the FCT with 39.
The development brings the total number of recorded cases in the country to 51,905 with 997 deaths while 38,767 patients have been treated and discharged to reunite with families.
The health agency made the confirmation on Saturday night via a post on its verified Facebook page.
