Edo 2020: Obaseki receives royal blessings at Emu Kingdom

Edo State Governor and the PDP candidate for the 2020 governorship election has received the blessings of traditional ruler of Emu Kingdom, His Royal Highness, Promise Imhansiemhonjie.

Obaseki who received the victory blessings on Tuesday at Emu Kingdom in Esan South-East Local Government Area of the state made the disclosure via a post on his official Facebook page.

AFRIPOST reports that the governorship election was scheduled to hold on September 19.

The governor on his part pledged  the construction of Emu Road upon his reelection as the governor of the state.

The post reads: “I and my deputy and I received more royal blessings and honours as we were hosted by the traditional ruler of Emu Kingdom in Esan South-East Local Government Area of Edo State, His Royal Highness, Promise Imhansiemhonjie.

“Rmembers of the Peoples Democratic Party Campaign Council, the monarch, who offered a special prayer for our victory in the September 19, 2020 Edo gubernatorial poll, assured us of the unflinching support of the Emu community.

“Thereafter, the royal father decorated me as Chief Ahenhen of Emu Kingdom (the repairer of the land) and my deputy, Rt. Hon. Comr. Philip Shaibu as Chief Akomu-Inyehen (the man who unites to solve issues).

“On my part, I expressed gratitude for the honourable gesture by the Esan monarch and assured him that, just as my administration had completed the Iselu-Okiagben Road, the Emu Road would also receive due attention upon my reelection”.
