Nigeria’s active COVID-19 cases nears 13,000 as NCDC confirms more

The active coronavirus cases in the country has risen to 12,844 as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC confirmed more cases in 16 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

With the new development, Nigeria now has 47,743 total confirmed cases with 956 fatalities while 33,943 patients have been treated and discharged from various isolation centres across the country.

NCDC while making the confirmation on Wednesday night via a post on its verified Facebook page, said Lagos the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria recorded 113 followed by FCT with 72 new cases.
