Nigeria records highest daily COVID-19 cases as total tops 24,000

Nigeria on Saturday recorded the highest daily coronavirus cases since the novel virus was imported into the country.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC confirmed 779 cases in 22 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja with Lagos having the highest record.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 24,077 with 558 deaths while 8,685 patients have been discharged from various isolation centres across the country.

NCDC made this know via a post on its verified Facebook page on Saturday night.
