Four Nigerians arrested by Libyan officials over drug trafficking

Four Nigerians have been arrested by Libyan authorities in connection with drug trafficking and for testing positive for infectious diseases.

The arrests took place in the Sabha and Bani Walid regions of Libya.

According to Migrant Rescue Watch, the arrests were made following a raid conducted by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on the suspects’ premises.

During the operation, authorities seized 1,200 hallucinogenic pills along with other illicit substances.

The detained individuals have been handed over to the Sabha Security Directorate for further investigation.

Migrant Rescue Watch shared details of the operation in a statement, confirming the seizure of drugs and the transfer of the suspects to the appropriate security agency for processing.
