The Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, has failed to acknowledge the receipt of impeachment notice sent to him by the state House of Assembly.
Consequently, the House has decided to publish the notice in national newspapers.
The Assembly, through its Clerk last Wednesday, issued an impeachment notice on the deputy governor with a seven-day ultimatum to respond.
The Speaker of the House, Blessing Agbebaku, who gave the order at a plenary on Tuesday, said the directive was to ensure all grounds are explored to adequately serve the impeachment notice to elicit his response within the seven-day ultimatum given by the House.
He ordered that the notice should be published in the State-owned Nigerian Observer and other national dailies.
