Reinstated Benue APC chairman, Austin Agada, resumes office

Must read

Austin Agada, the recently reinstated Chairman of the Benue State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has resumed work at the party’s secretariat in Makurdi, the state capital.

Despite initial restrictions by security operatives, Agada was eventually allowed entry, marking the end of his suspension and legal battle.

The crisis within the party had led to Agada being restrained from acting as the Chairman, following his suspension by the Ehaje Ward 1 Executive Committee.

However, a recent ruling by the Chief Judge of Benue State, Justice Maurice Ikpambese, vacated the suspension order, paving the way for Agada’s return to office.

Addressing journalists and party supporters after resuming office, Agada stated the need for unity within the party.

He called on members to avoid actions that could threaten the party’s unity, likening the APC to a great tree that shelters all.

Agada extended an olive branch to members who had supported candidates from other parties during elections, urging them to join hands in building a better Benue State under the APC administration of Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia.

He expressed appreciation to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Sen. George Akume, for his commitment to the APC’s success and for delivering democracy dividends.

He also commended the efforts of President Bola Tinubu-led federal government in improving the country’s fortunes.
