Continue with your good works in Kano – South West NNPP tells Yusuf

South West Chapter of New Nigeria People’s Party, (NNPP) has enjoined Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano state to continue with developmental works he is embarking upon it the state.

The party made this declaration on Saturday.

The Supreme Court had on Friday declared Yusuf as the authentic governor of Kano state.

The South West chapter of the party in a statement signed by its Public Relations Officer, Kilamuwaye Badmus, noted that the governor should not relent in what he is doing in the state.

He maintained that the victory at the Supreme Court has disgraced the political jobbers who were alleged to have carried out hatchets jobs to undermine the party’s victory.

He added that all efforts failed to stop the NNPP’s victory.

He said further that efforts of those who intended to bring the governor’s down ended in futility.

Badmus, while speaking further, added that the victory of the Kano state governor is the beginning of the greatness in the party not only in the South West but throughout the country.

“We thank God for the victory of Governor Abba Yusuf at the Supreme Court. The victory has disgraced some political jobbers led by the expelled former Chairman of the party in Ogun State, Mr Olaposi Sunday Oginni who gave fake information about the party to the All Progressives Congress, (APC) thinking they would be rewarded.

“Oginni and his co-travellers try as much as possible to blackmail the party and the governor Kano, Abba Yusuf, lying that he was not a member of the party by the time he contested but has God would have it, they failed woefully.

“All their efforts failed to stop the NNPP’s victory. With Yusuf’s victory, those who carried out the hatchet jobs have failed and our party remains stronger than even before. Their efforts to bring down Governor Yusuf ended in futility.

“We members of the NNPP in the South West hereby congratulate our leaders both in the region and at the national level especially our presidential candidate, Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwakwanso and the party guber candidate in Ogun state, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, and others for their efforts, calmness and maturity while the process lasted.

“We call on Governor Yusuf to continue his good works . We know by the grace of God it will be 4+4 .

“The victory is just the beginning of the greatness of our party not only in the South West but in the entire country”.
