Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Deputy Governor of Ondo has been sworn in as the State’s substantive Executive Governor.
This follows the state Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu’s demise.
The oath of office was administered by Justice Olusegun Odosola, the Ondo State Chief Judge at the Cocoa Conference Hall of the Governor’s office in Akure.

A report earlier emerged that Aiyedatiwa had arrived at the Governor’s office for his swearing-in-ceremony in Akure, Ondo State Capital.
Recall that Akeredolu died at age 67 in Germany in the early hours of Wednesday after a protracted leukaemia.
On December 12, the late Governor handed over power to Aiyedatiwa ahead of another period of medical leave.
