2026 WCQ: Super Eagles clash with Likuena today

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will play against the Likuena of Lesotho on Thursday (today).

The 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying tie is slated for the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.

The time for the match has been scheduled for 5:00pm today.

Jose Peseiro’s men have an unblemished record against the Southern Africans.

The Super Eagles won their previous four meetings with Lesotho.

The three-time African champions head into the contest in fine form, as they are undefeated in their last five games.

In this period, the Eagles recorded four wins and one draw.

Nigeria will be without the duo of Victor Osimhen and Samuel Chukwueze for this game but will still be expected to beat their less illustrious opponents.

Lesotho, who are expected to struggle against their star-studded hosts, can draw inspiration from the recent 0-0 draw against Cote d’Ivoire.

Also, Leslie Notsi’s side were finalists at the 2023 COSAFA Cup earlier this year.
