Following Saturday’s Governorship election in Kogi State, the Nigeria Police Force has announced restrictions on vehicular movement in the state.
This action according to a statement by the Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, SP William Ovye Aya on Friday, will be starting from 12 midnight on Friday 10th November 2023 to 6pm on Saturday 11th November 2023 respectively.
The Police also appealed to the general public to take note of the existing order in the state to avoid any inconveniences they might encounter while en route to Kogi State.
This is coming as a result of 18 political parties contesting in the Kogi State Governorship election.
As of Friday, individuals in Kogi State were cited as going about their normal daily activities.
Large security personnel were spotted in strategic areas within Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.
