The President of Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Comrade Joe Ajaero has been arrested allegedly by the Police in Owerri, Imo State capital.
This comes following an ongoing protest by members of the union in the state.
Report has it that during the protest, some miscreants smashed vehicles and inflicted wounds on labour members.
The union was in solidarity protest in the state over the alleged violation and abuse of rights and privileges of the state workers by Governor Hope Uzodinma-led government.
