We will work with you to develop Ogbomoso – Indigenes tell new Soun

Some indigenes of Ogbomoso in Oyo state have vowed to work with the newly installed Soun of Ogbomoso, Prince Afolabi Olaoye in order to develop the town.

The indigenes under the umbrella of Ogbomoso Pivotal Club, described the selection of Afolabi Olaoye as divine.

Prince Afolabi Olaoye from Olaoye ruling house was on Friday installed as the new Soun of Ogbomoso by the kingmakers.

The indigenes under the umbrella of OPC have however pledged to support the new monarch so as to develop the town.

The group made these declarations via a statement signed by its President, Prince Orimadegun Agboade and Secretary, Engineer Akintayo Akintola.

The group described the selection of the new monarch as welcome development.

The duo in the statement made available to our correspondent on Sunday, maintained that the town has been thirsty for humble, committed, visionary, divinely and physically connected prince like Olaoye.

“Your Election by the Ruling house, Bayewuwon Olaoye family, and subsequent approval by the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr. Oluseyi Makinde is good news to us and also a welcome development to the good people of Ogbomosoland.

“Your appointment as the new Soun of Ogbomosoland is a divine one and your nomination cannot come at a better time than now when the town is in thirsty of humble, committed, visionary, divinely and physically connected Prince.

“Your Resume no doubt defines your outstanding performance in the world of industrial & labour relations, entrepreneurial and human capital development and by extension your commitment to preach His words are the qualities that might be difficult to match.

“We hereby pledge our loyalty and support to you, while we pray to God to endow you with His divine wisdom and knowledge to lead, direct, guard and guide people of Ogbomosoland”.
