Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) officials have taken decisive action by demolishing shanties at the 1st Kabusa Junction Inter-Change, Ring Road Two, Southern Part Expressway in Apo Dutse district.
The Director of FCT Department of Development Control, Mukhtar Galadima, led the operation and emphasized that removing the illegal structures would restore order and improve the area’s facelift.
The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has directed that all illegal activities be stopped, within the Territory.
Wike said, “The removal of the shanties is in continuation of our commitment to keep sanity in the city and make the neighborhood and environment healthy.
“Kabusa is an eyesore to the city starting from the junction.
“The place is an inter-section of Ring Road Two and the Outer Southern Part expressway. It is a reservation for an interchange with time there will be over overhead bridge that will connect Ring Road Two and the outer Southern way.
“This demolition marks a commitment to maintaining a clean and healthy environment in the city”.
