Female soldier kills Captain in Adamawa

The soldier killed her senior colleague at a check point in Yola while trying to adhere to the curfew which was enforced by the Governor of Adamawa.

The Governor of Adamawa State Ahmadu Fintiri has imposed the curfew after hoodlums burgled the government warehouse and looted several items, including palliatives meant to cushion the effects of fuel subsidy.

A reliable source said the female soldier, Lance Corporal  Nkiru shot the senior colleague who was trying to interfere in her business with civilians at Fire Service Round About, Yola.

The female soldier has insisted that all motorist returning home during the curfew must return back and stood her ground to enforce the order.

The source said, “Some people stopped at the check point explaining themselves as workers on essential duties but the female soldier insisted they must go back.

It was at this point the Army Captain (the victim) came forward to intervene. But the female soldier refused and instead opened fire at her senior colleague.”

An eyewitness said the victim was rushed to the federal medical center, Yola where he was confirmed dead while the suspect was arrested and taken away by soldiers.

The source added that he heard the female soldier has been accused of always harassing civilians and always cocking her rifle at them.
