President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Sunday had a strategy meeting with governors of States that share boundaries with Niger Republic.
The meeting held at the State House, Abuja.
A source told AFRIPOST that it was a consultation and strategy meeting with the governors on the way forward in Niger.
Governors who attended were Ahmed Aliyu (Sokoto), Umar Namadi (Jigawa), Mai Malam Buni (Yobe), Idris Nasir (Kebbi) and Dr Dikko Radda (Katsina).
The seven-day ultimatum given to Niger before the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) takes further action against the country elapsed on Sunday.
Ahead of the expiration of the ultimatum, Tinubu had written to the leadership of the National Assembly for the approval a military action against the neighbouring country.
