Nigeria maverick entertainer and youths advocate, Charlyboy, AKA AreaFada has chided northern youths protesting and burning Davido’s images in the north over an alleged offensive music video he posted.
Recall that Davido had posted a video of one of his new artistes, Logos Olori’s titled ‘Jaye Lo’ which captured people praying and dancing in front of a mosque.
Since then, the Muslim community had invaded his social media pages in protest. The superstar consequently deleted the video from his Twitter handle but has not tendered an apology to the Muslims as requested by the majority of them.
But responding to the development, Charlyboy accused some northern Muslims of going to do “local runs” in Dubai but have learnt nothing from there to develop the north.
According to him, Davido is not responsible for the poverty in the north hence it was meaningless burning his images.
He said this in a post shared with Videonaija on Thursday morning.
“Abegi, make we hear word.
“Una dey burn Davido picture, una life don better?
Abi Na Davido dey increase poverty for north?”
“Una Allah wey dey do local runs for northern Nigeria never travel go Dubai see as correct Muslims dey live?
“Abegi, if e pain una reach, go to court.
Una just dey ment. Nonsense.”
