The Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, Mr. Emeka Nwoyi has commended the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for not relenting in the fight against economic and financial crimes despite the challenges.
He gave the commendation on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 during a Courtesy Visit to the Port Harcourt Zonal Commander of the EFCC, Assistant Commander of the EFCC, ACE Ahmed Ghali in his office.
Nwoyi, a former seconded staff of the EFCC and one-time Head of Operations in the Port Harcourt Command, recalled the sacrifices of the pioneer staff of the Commission in building the EFCC, while charging the current generation to sustain the legacy of effectiveness and efficiency in the fight against economic and financial crimes.
Nwoyi said the purpose of his visit was to strengthen the good relationship between the Nigeria Police and the EFCC, and restated the Force’s commitment to work hand-in-hand with the EFCC to make Nigeria better.
In his response, Ghali appreciated the Commissioner and his team for coming to identify with the Command. “The Police and the EFCC are sister agencies, we are one and we will work together for a better Nigeria’, he said.
