In a recent development, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has instructed a thorough investigation into an alleged shooting incident in the Sabon Gero community, located in the Chikun local government area. The incident involved members of the Kaduna Vigilance Service (KADVS) who were reportedly trying to disperse residents attempting to halt a demolition carried out by the Kaduna State Urban Planning and Development Authority (KASUPDA).
In an official statement, the governor’s chief press secretary, Muhammad Lawal Shehu, expressed concern about the incident. Governor Sani has directed the relevant authorities to conduct a comprehensive investigation to ascertain the facts surrounding the matter and ensure that justice is served. He also appealed to all parties involved to remain calm and abide by the law while the investigation takes place.
