The Nigerian film industry, Nollywood, mourns the loss of talented actor Brymo Uchegbu, popularly known as Don Brymo, who passed away on Wednesday night. The news was confirmed by Mr Mayor Ofoegbu, a respected movie director in Nollywood, who expressed his grief over the actor’s sudden demise. Don Brymo, renowned for his portrayal of Igwe (King) characters in movies, is said to have peacefully passed away in his sleep.

Mr Ofoegbu, in a heartfelt tribute shared on social media, emphasized the importance of cherishing each day as tomorrow is never guaranteed. He received the shocking news in the morning and verified it with Don Brymo’s family. The loss of this beloved actor has left a void that is difficult to fill. Don Brymo, originally from Anambra State and born in 1966, officially joined the Nigerian film industry in 2000. Throughout his career, he delivered remarkable performances in numerous movies, leaving a lasting impact on audiences. At the age of 56, the film industry bids farewell to a talented actor whose portrayal of Igwe characters captivated viewers.
