Former Imo speaker’s orderly found dead in mysterious circumstances

In a tragic turn of events, an orderly serving a former speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon Chiji Collins, has been found dead under mysterious circumstances. The victim, identified as Charles, was discovered lifeless in the bush located in Oguta Local Government Area of the state.

Charles, an inspector of police, had been kidnapped a few weeks prior, along with a driver, in the Ohaji/Egbema area of the state. Reports indicate that they were traveling in a Hilux and Sports Utility Vehicle when they were intercepted by their assailants and taken into the bush. Sadly, the driver was later found dead, while the search for Charles continued.

Tragically, on Thursday, the decomposed body of Charles was discovered in a bush, leaving his colleagues in shock and grief. The command expressed deep sadness over the killing of the police inspector, who hailed from the Mbaise area of the state.

The police public relations officer, Henry Okoye, confirmed the incident and emphasized that the state Commissioner of Police, Muhammed Berde, has ordered a team of investigators to be deployed in order to apprehend the perpetrators. The command is determined to ensure that those responsible for the inspector’s death are apprehended and brought to justice.
