Burkina Faso coach, Brahima Traore has stated that his team would be battle ready to tackle the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria in order to qualify for the semifinal of the Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations.
Defending champions Cameroon were eliminated from the competition last week by Burkina Faso’s side. but the Eagles are said to be a very talented and tricky side.
Nigeria won two games in the group stage ans lost one to Morocco.
But Burkina Faso coàch, Traore is confident that they can get something away from the game.
“We had two objectives in this tournament, Traore told CAF Media.
“Our first aim is to get to the semi-finals and then to fight for the title. We will prepare well for Nigeria to enable us to get to the semis and earn the World Cup ticket.”
A win by the Golden Eaglets would guarantee them a spot at the World Cup later this year. The game will be played on Thursday.
