The Nigeria U-17 team, the Eaglets, Saturday evening defeated South Africa to qualify for the next round of the competition.
Goals from Charles Agada, L.C Eke and Abubakar Abdullahi were enough to push Nigeria past the first round.
Nigeria was put under a difficult situation in the early half of the first half when South Africa’s V. Mkhawana put them ahead of the Eaglets.
Though Nigeria leveled up the tally in the first half, South Africa scored thier second in the last second of the first half.
But Nigeria returned from the half-time with a great strength, leveling up and went ahead to score the winner.
With the outcome, Nigeria and Morocco made it to the next round with 6 goals each.
