Renowned social critic and member of the Peoples Democratic Party, Reno Omokri, has said that despite rigging, the PDP would have won the 2023 election it Peter Obi was in the party.
According to the former presidential aide, what the Obidients, supporters of Peter Obi, did for the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate during the February 25 Presidential election should be commended.
Hailing the Obidients for their efforts in galvanizing a movement that gave Obi over six million votes during the Presidential election, Omokri said in just 8 months, Peter Obi got over 6 million votes due to the support he got from the Obidients.
Omokri spoke his mind in an interview with Arise News on Sunday.
He said: “If the Obidients had joined with the PDP, if Peter Obi had not left the PDP, we would have won the election even with rigging hands down,” Omokri said.
“In eight months, he was able to galvanize a movement that gave him over 6 million votes. What the Obidients did for Peter Obi should be respected.”
