Abdurrahman Gambo, a security detail of the Kano State governor-elect, Abba K. Yusuf, has been reported dead following a tragic auto accident along the Kano-Bichi federal highway. The incident happened on the evening of April 29, 2023, as the top bodyguards were returning to Kano from a private wedding ceremony in Bichi.
According to eyewitnesses, the vehicle skidded off the highway and somersaulted several times before crashing, leaving one person dead and another, identified as “China,” injured but receiving treatment at a health facility. The deceased, Abdurrahman Gambo, has been laid to rest in Kano.
In his reaction to the unfortunate incident, the Kano State governor-elect, Abba K. Yusuf, expressed sadness and described the death of his loyal and passionate team member as a significant loss that cannot be quantified.
