The soldiers were on their way to Idadu Army Camp when the incident occurred. The deceased soldier, who was from Gombe State, was reportedly macheted to death. The attack has been described as unfortunate and sad by the state’s deputy governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe.

Dr. Akabe commiserated with the Commander of 4 Special Force Doma, Major General O.O.Soyele, and the entire military over the incident. He said that the loss of the soldier was not only a huge blow to the military but also to the country as a whole. He prayed for the deceased to rest in peace and for the abducted soldier to be rescued soon.

In response to the incident, Major General Soyele assured the public that the military would do everything in its power to rescue the abducted soldier. He added that the military, in collaboration with other security agencies, is working tirelessly to secure the state and rid it of criminal elements.

The incident underscores the security challenges facing Nigeria, where banditry, kidnapping, and other forms of violent crimes have become rampant. The Nigerian government has been criticized for its inability to address the security challenges facing the country.

Despite the efforts of security agencies, the perpetrators of such attacks have continued to carry out their operations with relative ease, causing fear and panic among the populace. There have been calls for the government to take more decisive actions to address the insecurity in the country. An investigation into the attack on the soldiers is ongoing.
