The President-elect, Bola Tinubu, Monday returned to Nigeria after a month medical sojourn in Paris, France.
AFRIPOST had earlier reported that Tinubu would return on Monday unless something else happens.
Tinubu left the country for France on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, allegedly to attend to his health and to rest following the rigorous of the presidential election..
Tinubu’s media office in a statement in March disclosed that the President-elect travelled to France to rest after the stressful presidential campaign.
The statement released by his Media team reads, “He has directed all the senior aides and campaign staff to also go and observe a short rest.
“He is expected back in the country soon. We enjoin the media to stop publishing rumours and unsubstantiated claims and to always seek clarifications from our office.”
Confirming his return on Monday evening, presidential campaign spokesman, Bayo Onanuga wrote on Twitter:
“Nigeria’s President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu returns to Abuja today after weeks of a well deserved vacation in France. E kaabo! Se dada le de!”
