Must read

Niger State Governor Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello has attributed the reduction of insecurity in the state to the collective efforts of the government and security agencies. The governor made the statement during a special Iftar hosted at the Government House, Minna, for heads of security agencies, permanent secretaries, directors-general, board members, commissions’ members, and parastatals.

Governor Sani Bello commended the efforts of all security agencies and permanent secretaries for their roles in ensuring peace in the state. He highlighted that the synergy among the security agencies had made it possible to achieve the successes recorded so far in reducing insecurity.

According to the commissioner of police, Niger State Command, Joshua OgundelAe Ayodeji, the security challenges in the state had been significantly reduced, thanks to the support of Governor Sani Bello, whom he described as a “listening and supportive governor.”

The governor acknowledged that his administration has recorded numerous successes, and some of them would be better appreciated after his exit. He emphasized that Niger State had moved from security issues to administrative matters, and there is relative peace in the state compared to what was obtainable in the past.

The efforts of the government and security agencies have indeed paid off, with a significant reduction in insecurity in Niger State. Governor Sani Bello’s approach to tackling insecurity through synergy among security agencies is a lesson for other governors and security operatives in the country.
