The Bauchi State Police Command received a distress call about the skirmishes on April 15, 2023, at around 7:00 PM. Preliminary investigations reveal that the communal clash in Sang village of Bogoro LGA emanated from the coronation of the Hamlet Head of Sang.

In response to the situation, the Command swiftly deployed Police operatives comprising Tactical teams, (RRS) Rapid Response Squad, and Operation Restore Peace in the area to bring the situation under control. The area is relatively peaceful for now, and security measures have been reinforced in and around Bogoro LGA. Bauchi police commissioner, CP Aminu Alhassan, has directed DPO Bogoro to commence a discrete investigation in earnest to unravel the circumstances that led to this turmoil. Concerted efforts have been intensified to arrest the perpetrators of this dastardly act to face the full wrath of the law. Further development will be communicated as the investigation unfolds
