Must read

A group, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Young Democrats, has vowed to do everything possible by ensuring that the party regains its lost glory.

In a statement issued and read on behalf of other 34 members of the group on Friday, the group called for the proper review of the 2023 elections with regard to the party’s performance, urging the party to identify the contribution of all members of the party towards the general election in order to discipline those who contributed to the loss of the party.

It said, “anyone found to have jeopardized the collective efforts of party members and faithful in the last elections should be identified and subjected to the constitution of the party no matter whose ox is gored.”

The group also called on the party leadership to ensure that Sentor Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu resigns as the PDP National Secretary following his ambition to contest the Imo State Governorship elections. The group said, ”We strongly believe this is the right thing to do as his continued stay I office is wrong and repugnant to justice and fair play. This will also save the party from needless and avoidable litigations in tbe future.”

On the crisis relating to the national Chairman of the party, the group regretted that the post if the party’s national Chairman had once again become a subject of litigation. The group blamed some privileged few in the party who have continued to see the party as their private property. It warned that such should stop immediately.
