Benue Guber: Obekpa congratulates Alia, Ode, Agbese on election victory

Benue All Progressive Congress (APC) chieftain, Architect Anthony Obekpa has congratulated the State Governor-elect, Rev. Father Hyacinth Alia, and his deputy, Hon. Samuel Ode, for their victory in the just concluded governorship election in the state.

In a press statement on Friday, Obekpa said he has no doubt that Alia’s administration would better the lot of Benue people who passionately voted for him considering his footprint in the priesthood.

The Owukpa APC Leader described Fr. Alia’s election as a higher call to serve God and humanity at a time the people of the state are yearning for a messiah to reposition the state from its lost glory.

The Abuja based estate owner and developer, however, charged the governor-elect and his deputy to stand on their manifestos to the people and ensure that the state is returned to its former status.

Obekpa who also congratulated the House of Representatives Member-elect, for Ado, Okpokwu and Ogbadibo federal constituency, Philip Agbese, on his election victory, lauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting a free and fair election in the state.

He noted that the outcome of the election represented the yearnings and aspirations of the Benue people.

Obekpa prayed that God almighty empowers the governor-elect and his deputy with right wisdom and strength to meet the huge expectations of the electorates who entrusted the duo with their mandate with the hope that they would lead people to the Benue of their dreams.
