Alex Otti, the Governor-elect of Abia State, and the flagbearer of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the state, Bishop Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha, during the weekend, met at the countryhome of the incoming governor in isiala ngwa south local government area of the state, after the recently-concluded gubernatorial election in Abia state by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
This comes on the backdrops of outcome of the concluded 2023 gubernatorial election which took place in all polling center across the 184 electoral wards of the seventeen local government areas in Abia state.
AFRIPOST had earlier reported that the Returning Officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Professor Nnenna Oti, had last Wednesday, declared the Abia flagbearer of the labour party, Alex Otti as the state Governor-elect and winner of the concluded march 18th 2023 governorship election held across the state.
Otti polled a total of 175, 467 votes cast to beat his closest rival and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Okey Ahiwe, who scored 88,529 votes to come second position at the concluded election.
Earlier, the Abia ADC Gubernatoral candidate, Bishop Sunday Onuoha, who paid a visit the Governor-elect of theAlex Otti at his countryhome in isiala ngwa south local government area in Abia central senatorial district of the state.
This was disclosed in a release on Monday by ferdinand Ekeoma, the Special Adviser on media and Publicity, to the new Abia Governor-elect Alex Otti.
Hinting on the outcome of the meeting by both prominent Abia leaders, Bishop Onuoha, while speaking during the auspicious visit to Alex Otti, at his isiala ngwa south residence, congratulated the ex-bank chief on his victory at the just concluded governorship poll held in the state.
The respected methodist bishop described the emergence of Alex Otti as the new Governor-elect of Abia state as well deserved.
Onuoha reassured Dr Otti of his full support to ensure he succeeds as governor when inaugurated come May 29th 2023.
