Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, announced that 77 passengers have been released from hospitals across Lagos State after receiving treatment for injuries sustained during a train and bus accident that occurred in the PWD area of the state. The accident resulted in six fatalities and several injuries.
Governor Sanwo-Olu took to Twitter to disclose the update and urged citizens to pray for the victims still undergoing treatment. He acknowledged the hard work of medical personnel in the employment of the state government who are working round the clock to ensure the patients’ full recovery.
The governor reassured the public that his administration would continue to support the victims and their recovery process. The state government will make sure that the medical staff continues to provide the necessary medical attention to the 19 patients still receiving treatment in the hospital.
The incident highlights the importance of maintaining road and rail infrastructure in Lagos State. It is essential that the government ensures the safety of citizens by implementing measures that prevent accidents and improve response times in emergencies.
