Must read

Abia Rejoice Movement(ARM),  a political pressure group, on Tuesday, stated its attention has been drawn to news publication purporting her endorsement of the Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Abia state, Mr Ikechi Emenike.

Recall that Leadership Newspaper, had in its online news publication dated March 14th, 2023, reported that  members of the Abia movement led by Mr Jerry Chimechefulam, had pledged its allegiance to the Abia Gubernatorial candidate of the APC’s Mr Ikechi Emenike ahead of the march 18th 2023 by the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC).

The latest development was made known by the Director-General of Ikechi Emenike Campaign Council, Chief Uche Ogboso recently.

He also disclosed major political parties including the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Action Peoples Party (APP), African Democractic Congress (ADC), National Rescue Movement (NRM), Labour Party(LP), and the Youth Party(YP), has endorsed, and aligned their structures with the APC Governorship candidate, Emenike.

Reacting, Abia Rejoice Movement, which is the political structure of the former minister of state for mines and steel development, Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, in a statement on Tuesday by Chima Obiwuru of its media directorate, described the report as fake and figment of poor imagination of the fifth columnists and thier paymasters.

According to the group, “Uche Ogah and his team never support someone without vision to address the problem of Abia state.

“Ikechi Emenike lacks the wisdom and knowledge to lead Abia at this present time”.

The pro-democracy group described the party’s governorship flagbearer, Ikechi Emenike as a drowning man looking for help desperately.

While it dissociates itself from activities relating to Emenike’s political rigmaros, Abia Rejoice Movement, therefore, urged the general public to disregard the report and consider the purported endorsement as total fake.
