The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Mr Peters Obi is currently in the Court of Appeal, Abuja to witness the Court’s judgment in an application by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) seeking to vacate the order for the inspection of materials used for the conduct of the February 25 presidential election.
Obi stormed the courtroom with a team o party’s chieftains, comprising the Senator elect for Anambra Central, Chief Victor Umeh.
The presidential candidate who is expected to challenge the outcome of the February 25 Presidential election at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal was also accompanied into the courtroom.by a team of lawyers including Senior Advocates of Nigeria, SANS.
Meanwhile, Justice Joseph Ikyegh-led panel of the Court of Appeal was yet to commence judgment on the matter as at the time this report was filed.
The court will also rule in the applications of the All Progressive Congress, APC and the President- elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, praying the court to allow them to also carry out similar inspection of electoral materials used for the February 25 presidential election.
