Election result: INEC adjusts collation time to 6pm

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has shifted the time for the collation of the result of the 2023 presidential election. The new time for the collation is now 66 pm on Sunday.

The candidates of the APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and Peter Obi of the Labour Party are in a battle to take over Aso Rock.

INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, had yesterday announced that collation would commence at noon on Sunday.

But in a late press briefing on Sunday by the commission to declare the collation open, Yakubu said it would commence at 6 pm on Sunday.
