The Nigerian Police have arrested and detained the presiding pastor of the House on the Rock, Abuja church, Uche Aigbe, for brandishing an AK-47 rifle on the altar.
Pastor Aigbe reportedly displayed an AK-47 to worshippers while preaching on the altar on Sunday.
When contacted, Police Force Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, said that Police has commenced investigation into the incident.
A Vanguard said a police inspector officer, Musa Audu handed the gun over to the Abuja-based pastor.
The source said Audu will be facing an orderly room trial for handing over his rifle to Aigbe.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory Command, Sadiq Abubakar, has made a recommendation to the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba Alkali, to dismiss Inspector Audu.
