2023 Guber: Hundreds of Abia youths back AA candidate, Akym Onyekwere

Hundreds of youths under the umbrella of Ebem Oha Youth Union, have thrown their weight behind the gubernatorial bid of Mr Onyekwere Uche Onyekwere under the platform of the Action Alliance (AA) in Abia State.

The youths were drawn from three clans (Ebem central, mgbaga and inhenta) in Ebem extraction in Ohafia local government area of the state which formed the present Ebem Oha Youth Union (EYU).

Speaking during the epoch-making event which took place at Ebem ohafia at the weekend, the President-General of Ebem Ohafia Development Union, and the Chief Executive Officer of 929 Signature Hotels & Suites, Chief Emeka Mba popularly as Bam Bam by friends, business and political associates, and supporters described Onyekwere Uche Akym as “best for ndi Abia.”

He believed the latter possessed the needed capacity, ability, requisite competence, expertise and wide contacts to address the myriads of challenges impeding economic and Infrastructural development of the state when elected as governor in march this year.

According to Mba, “I must use this special opportunity to firstly commend our youths for coming together to identify with and endorse Mr Onyekwere Akym Uche who remains the best for ndi Abia.

“However, I assure you I’ll communicate your messages to the AA Governorship candidate, and am assuring he will not disappoint the people if given chance to emerge successfully as next governor of Abia State.”

The President General also advised Ebem Oha Youth Union to ensure they collect their Permanent Voters Cards (PVC), vote for AA, and equally ensure they protect their votes in the March 11 Governorship election in Abia State.

Our correspondent who was at the venue of the ceremony reports that those in attendance included, the CEO of 929 Signatures Hotel and suites, Chief Emeka Mba (Bam Bam), Ebem Ohafia Youth leader, Mr Okoro, Action Alliance Ohafia LGA Coordinator, Chief Tony Orji, Ohanaeze Youth leader, Mr. Imaga Eke, and former Senior Special Adviser to Abia State Governor on grassroots mobilization, Hon Eke Kalu among  others.

In the same vein, the AA Governorship standard-bearer in Abia State, Akym Uche Onyekwere has reiterated his assurance and unwavering determination to give every sections of the state an infrastructural facelift towards enhancing the welfare of the people of the state.

He spoke during his campaign tours across the local government areas in Abia State recently.

Onyekwere who hailed from Amaba clan in Isiuakwato Local Government Area of the state, further assured Abia electorates that he is not seeking their mandate to become next governor to enrich himself, but to rewrite the narrative in governance of the state.

He also maintained his gubernatorial ambition is shrouded to enhance and foster genuine economic growth and development in all strata of Abia State if given maximum support to secure a win in the forthcoming governorship poll in the state and many other states in Nigeria federation cone March 11th 2023 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
