One goal from Messi and a brace from Julian Alvarez were enough to put Argentina ahead of Croatia in the battle for the World Cup final in Qatar.
Though Croatia maintained lead in possession throughout the game, it was Argentina that doubled their lead in the first half with a penalty easily converted by their hit man, Lionel Messi and a counter attack by Julian Alvarez.
Messi’s commendable assist in the second half put Alvarez in a position to score his second of the night.
