PDP crisis: G-5 governors storm Bauchi for crucial meeting with Bala Mohammed

Must read

The aggrieved five Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors fondly called G-5 governors arrived Bauchi for a crucial meeting with their Bauchi counterpart, Bala Mohammed Wednesday afternoon.

They were received by the governor at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport around 1pm.

Daily Trust reports that shortly after exchange of pleasantries at the airport, they proceeded to Ramat House, venue of the meeting.

The medium said the meeting among the governors is holding less than 24 hours after Mohammed held private discussions with the PDP Presidential candidate in Abuja.

Mohammed, who did not disclose the outcome of the discussion, said they met over the “progress of our party”.

The G-5 governors have withdrawn support for Atiku, giving the resignation of Senator Iyioricha Ayu as National Chairman of the party as a condition for peace to reign.

However, Atiku insisted that the resignation of Ayu was not practical at this point in time, adding that he had moved on from the crisis.
